March 19,2011 National Iron-making Technology Coference of Low Carbon was held in Zhangjiajie, Hunan province, Chairman of Allied Rongda, Dr Zhang Ronghui was invited to attend this meeting ,and made a report on " The Latest Progress of Refractory Technology for Iron-making " The report focuses on the Rongda’s latest technological achievements on the refractory, which includes four aspects: first, longevity’s Recent progress about single taphole blast furnace Iron ditch of iron storage type, second, in the unblowing-down conditions, the maintenance technology of spraying for the main blast furnace iron ditch, third, the shotcrete technology for blast furnace lining, fourth, permanent lining with high steel fiber content for BF cooling stave.
The report caused a strong reaction in the meeting. Allied Rongda ‘s four low-carbon technology provides a new way for blast furnace iron-making. All the participants agreed that the technology of shotcrete for blast furnace lining have a wide range of promotional value.
In addition, in the unblowing-down conditions, the maintenance technology of spraying for the main blast furnace iron ditch, has achieved a record that a certain 580 BF’s main iron ditch kept running for 131 days and produced over 250,000 tons of iron, in which the participants also showed great interest.
