April 14, 2017, The "High Efficiency & Low Cost Steelmaking Technology Conference” was held in the Phoenix Hotel in Changsha, Hunan. Organized by the Steelmaking Branch of Chinese Society for Metals, and co-organized by Beijing Allied Rongda Engineering Material Co., Ltd. The conference mainly focused on discussing the converter steelmaking technology, summarizing and sharing the application experience of high efficiency and low cost converter steelmaking technology. A total of 114 representatives attended this meeting, including Anshan, Benxi, Baosteel, Shougang Group, Baotou Steel, Panzhihua, NISCO, Pingxiang, Rizhao, Laiwu Steel, Taishan steel, Shaanxi, Tang Gang, Xing steel, Yingkou steel, Chongqiang Steel, Ma Steel, Qianan steel, Xinyu iron and steel, Meishan steel, Fujian steel, Xiangtan Steel, Xinyang steel, Guofeng, Iron and Steel Research Institute, Research Institute of Shougang Group, Baosteel Research Institute, Wuhan Institute, HBIS Research Institute and many other Steel Corp.

Dr. Zhang Ronghui, Chairman of Allied Rongda, made the presentation with the latest technological advancement in repairing converter linings. In recent years, Rongda Group around the environmental-friendly converter steelmaking and continuous casting system, independent research and developed surface lining material with water-borne Magnesia Castable, also introduced the new product - remote control technology of shotcrete repair technology, which received high praise from the attendees.
