The achievement evaluation hosted by the The Association of China Refractories Industry and vice president Chen Jianxiong himself. After the review by the expert committee, the following main opinions are formed: no harmful gas is produced in the process of the sintering process of Environment-friendly water-based non-carbon patching material for charge pad of converter, which is safe and environment-friendly. The product adopts the method of wet self-flow pouring, which has good high temperature spreading performance. After sintering with high temperature, it forms a combination of ceramics, compact structure, anti-oxidation and erosion resistance. The volume density can reach 2.83g/cm³ by the relevant national inspection center. Through the application of many converter steelmaking users, there is no smoke and dust in the site use, compared with conventional carbon-based patching materials, the sintering time is reduced by over 50%, and the service life is extended by 2-3 times. The product has obtained the national invention patent, has the independent intellectual property right, has the innovation and the practical, has the extensive application value. After comprehensive review by the expert Committee, refractory and steelmaking experts agreed that the comprehensive technology of the product reached the leading level in China, and agreed that the project of “Environment-friendly water-based non-carbon patching material for charge pad of converter” passed the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements.

The extensive popularization of the Allied Rongda environment-friendly water-based non-carbon patching material for charge pad of converter and the matching converter shotcrete repairing technology is expected to fundamentally solve the problem of furnace lining repairing in converter steelmaking, fundamentally eliminate the toxic and harmful flue gas emission caused by the traditional black patching material repairing furnace, greatly reduce the working environment and labor intensity of the repairing furnace, greatly improve the service life of the furnace, and greatly reduce a large amount of solid waste emission caused by the ineffective repairing furnace. The high density non-carbon erosion resistant repairing lining is also an important guarantee for reducing the oxide inclusion of molten steel and improving the quality and efficiency of steel products.
